Ever wondered…
What’s my role as a stepmom, really?
Why won’t the stepkids listen to me?
I’ve done nothing to the ex—so why does she seem to hate me?
Why is this stepparenting thing so hard?
Will it ever get better?
You’re not alone. I’ve asked myself those same questions.
When I became a stepmom, I already had a child of my own. I thought, “How hard can this be?”
And then reality hit—hard and fast.
I felt confused, unsupported, and unsure of where I fit in. I questioned my relationship with my partner, my influence with the kids, and even my decision to take on this role.
That was over 30 years ago.
Since then, I’ve done the work, the research, the training—and most importantly, I’ve walked this path. I’ve made mistakes, learned the hard way, and turned those lessons into guidance that now helps stepmoms across the world.
Today, I’m a certified life and stepmom coach, facilitator of The Stepmom Wisdom Circle, host of The Stepfamily Summit, and author of The Stepmom’s Book of Boundaries.
But most of all—I’m someone who gets it.
